“With the CertainSafe SDK, cybersecurity technology that was initially developed for both government agencies as well as the Fortune 50 companies is now available to developers of all types at a price they and their clients can afford,” said Steven Russo, CertainSafe Executive Vice President. “We believe that allowing affordable access to CertainSafe’s revolutionary technology will aid in the protection and security of sensitive information by changing the way data is stored today and well into the future. Implementation of the CertainSafe SDK, or any part of our core engine makes hacking attempts to gain access to sensitive data mathematically improbable if not near impossible.”

CertainSafe’s SDK is easy to integrate into a software solution and or company’s infrastructure via a simple API implementation. It is cloud-based and is the premier technology to protect data against both external as well as internal exploitation. The CertainSafe engine was developed through extensive experience in data security, and utilizes a proprietary MicroTokenization and MicroEncryption engine to provide more than seven layers of security, presenting both a robust and unique platform in which to secure sensitive data. PC Magazine awarded CertainSafe with its coveted Editors’ Choice Award 2014-2015, along with its Technical Excellence Award in Security on December 2014.

CertainSafe’s MicroTokenization replaces sensitive data with unique and opaque MicroTokens. A MicroToken is similar to a traditional token but with one major difference. Traditional tokens are limited to 16 characters/digits while CertainSafe can tokenize up to 16 billion bits of data. Any developer integrating the CertainSafe SDK into its security methodologies provides unprecedented levels of security for large files, messages, entire credit card transactions or any fields of a database. If a hacker gains access to the client’s system, they only find meaningless tokens with no way of finding where the original data is being stored.

Additionally, CertainSafe’s MicroEncryption technology scatters the encrypted bits across multiple hard drives. The end result is a PCI DSS Level 1 certified, PFI and HIPAA compliant level of security unmatched in the industry that allows real-time access to data.

The timing of the CertainSafe SDK could not be better. According to the San Diego-based Identity Theft Resource Center (ITRC), a non-profit organization , which provides victim assistance and consumer education on security breaches, data breaches in 2015 are on pace to break records both in the number of breaches and records exposed. In 2014, the number of U.S. data breaches tracked by ITRC hit a record high of 783, with 85,611,528 confirmed records exposed.
